Katrin is german and fairly new to the designer world and sells at The shop is standard in german, but has a switch to english, which makes it easy to navigate for all. Her previews are surely worth looking at, and they look amazingly pretty.

Checkout and download in the shop went very smooth and fast, and heres the preview of Hand in Hand, Through the Sand

And then a list of the details of the elements.

This is my own thinking of the kit:

Well my first respons was, wow that preview looks amazing and I love the beach. I was caught by the fresh colors, and the amazing seagulls. The 3D papers are perfect for scenes and depth, and the elements are versatile and colorful. The photomasks are perfect for blend in photos or to use with the awesome frames inside the kit.  ome frames are pre-decorated but not over the top and surely very subtle and pretty. I love the green leaves and plants in this kit, and it is surely perfect for those beach and water pages.

Here’s my layout with the kit:

Katrins Design really took lots of effort to create an outstanding beachkit and she succeeded very well. I can totally recommend this kit for anyone who has beach photos to scrap. A big 2 thumbs up for Katrin and her Hand in Hand, Through the Sand kit!

My Secret Garden Creations, Kingdom by the sea

Another review today, this time I was head over heels in love with Kingdom by the Sea from My Secret Garden Creations. I loved the preview so I didnt even care to read the description and grabbed it on sale!

Download went smooth, the kit has beeen split up in 4 zipfiles, and there is no unneeded or double junk added to the folders, way to go!

The description of the kit in store:

Full of fantasy and imagination, this kit includes 14, 12×12 papers, jpg format at 300dpi. Papers are a mixture of plain and textured, textured patterns and background images of water/ocean and old stone walls. Also, included are 36 elements in png format which contains the following: dragon mermaid tails stone doorway/frame vines jeweled swirls stones ship butterfly sea shell netting with fish hanging fish knights helmet knights sword rusty lock and key treasure chest, one with sand and jewels and one empty jewels twirled ribbon old, jeweled frame cluster frame with wiring flowers All elements are created and saved at 300dpi. This kit is ok for personal and scrap for hire use.
My own thinking of the kit:
This kit is surely full of fantasy and imagination, allthough that awesome wave paper would be excellent for a surfer page, and I can see a beach page in the page with the caves and water. The elements that are present in the kit are okay. The rusty lock and key are awesome and so is the fishing net. But I also think that there could have been so much more in this kit, with a little edge of sand, some bubbles to go with my mermaid tales, and some more fish and shells, a canon even maybe to protect the kingdom. It is truly a nice addition to the fantasy kits I have and I’m certain some items will be used more often.
To let you see the possibilities I made 2 pages, 1 fantasy and 1 swimming, you got to love that underwater camera and an always smiling girl!
Allthough I do not think this kit will make it possible to fill an entire album, I do believe it has some awesome elements, the lock and key, and the treasurechest are my favorite, and well let’s not forget about that dragon. Another thing I like is that this kit is S4H friendly 🙂
I think if some more time and thinking went over this kit, it would have been better, cause I truly believe the designer has the skills to develope more, maybe an add-on *yes it’s a hint*!!!
All in all I got to say the quality is good and that is what we’re after so I can only tell My Secret Garden Creations that she did a great job, and thank you for making these awesome designs for us!

Teri’s Thing O-My-Jigs, Soccer’s a kick

Yup, Soccer’s a kick. My boy plays soccer, almost 8 years now and I still didnt discover the kick of it. When he was 6 we stood along the field at 8 in the morning on saturday, what a blessing. Everyone told me that when he would get older the times will be later during the day. Well he’s a C player now, and still not later, last week we had to  round up at 7.30 cause we needed to play out at another soccer club, oh the joy of parenting. But Jeroen loves soccer, Dh has been his coach and trainer for 6 years now, so DH has 13 kids amongst his wings. Anyways when I saw the announcement of Teri’s Thing O-My-Jigs Soccer’s a kick I just had to pick it up.

Checkout went great, but I missed download links in my order after payment. I did receive an email with the download links, but my downloads still are not displayed in my order history. Maybe a shop glitch. But well download went fast and rapid, and it was great to see that the TOU and previews are not divided in every zip file.

The Description of the kit in store:

Soccer’s A Kick!  And if you didn’t already know that, you will,  if you use this perfectly put together Sports Kit from Teri’s Thing-O-My-Jigs.  Created for her grandson, Teri made sure that each and every unique element would be just the thing for scrapping those priceless photos.  And talk about variety!   From the perfectly textured papers, with many of the overlays being designed just for this kit, to the always unique elements Teri seems to create, Soccer’s a Kick!  is one that you don’t want to pass up.  Be sure to look for her coordinating, custom made overlays of the same name.

Soccer’s a Kick! includes:
14 papers
   Punctuation &
47 elements including:

2 asst. chipboard elements
1 border
1 bow
3 buttons
2 chairs
3 signs
4 asst. flair
1 folder clip
2 frames
1 grass
1 jersey
2 journals
1 leaf
1 mesh net
3 ribbon
2 ricrac
1 rubberband
1 star
3 stickers
1 string
7 tag strips
1 paper tear
1 metal waterbottle
1 wrap binder

My Own thinking of the kit:

Yes the papers are of great texture. The grass paper and the paper of the field are surely my favorites, There’s a lot of variety in colors and patterns and that is a big plus. The wordart strips that I did not use are wonderful I love the fact that there’s an empty 1. The old sign elements look perfect and I did use 1 of those in my layout. However most of the elements seem to have an epoxy sticker effect and the buttons seem a little fake to me. They have an outer bevel edge that does not attracked me personally. My favorite element in this kit is for sure the net and the field journal board, they are both amazing and I am certain they will be used more often for my soccer layouts. The shirt I used is from the kit, but I recolored it to fit my boys team colors, and that was a very easy job.

Here’s my layout with this kit, and I think it’s gonna be a 2 pager. I do not see myself making an entire album with this kit, but 4 different pages must be possible. And between the other soccer kits that are out there, this will make a great addition for variety and mixxing and matching.

journaling and credits page:

Playing soccer is your passions for a long time. You can play all positions and always do your best during matches.

Symphonie, My World of Dreams

A new try this month, and a great 1, I replied to a 1 kit CT call for Symphonie, and was actually surprised with 2 kits!

The try for this month is My world in Dreams from Symphonie in both blue and pink. As allready known I love scrapping fantasy styled layouts so this was another great call for me and I really enjoyed playing. Here is a preview from both kits, you can get 1 color only or both in a bundle.

This is what the description says:

Deep in the heart of children’s dreams, lives a magical world where anything is possible… Find the soul of child, and join this extraordinary place !

The kit contains 20 papers (3600 pixels, 300dpi) and 51 elements (.png, 300 dpi)
All the elements are not shown on the preview.

This is my own thinking of the kits

I love the papers that have moons or unicorns blended in it, and the variety of elements inside the kit. I surely had to use 1 of the unicorns at least once and I love the staircase in the pink kit. Some elements are the same in both the blue and pink version, but there’s also some different elements. In the pink you find flowers, and in the blue a great moon pendant and another bridge. In the blue kit is also a dragonfly that I absolutly fell in love with. It’s a very pretty 1 and I made it a highlight on my blue version page. The elements are good sized, no need to resize them bigger, some actually might have been smaller but reducing the size isnt that bad.

version blue

pink version, lovely little girl from Melissa aka crossroadscca at iconsbg-crewstock!

I raise 2 thumbs up for Symphonie, I really enjoyed working with these kits, and I can not wait to grab myself Rainforest from her as well. Symphonie keep up the good work, I really enjoyed your 1 kit call, and the oppertunity to discover a new designer as well.
